E-Marketing Made Easy From Lemonade Stands to Likes!

E–Marketing Made Easy From Lemonade Stands to Likes! “Scroll, Click, Boom!” The Power of E–Marketing for everyone has arrived! Electronic Marketing is E–Marketing for short, which means we use the internet to tell people about something we have made or created to share or sell. Instead of painting it on a wall or building or even putting up a sign, the internet has come along and oh my things have changed. It’s all online where everyone can “Scroll, Click, Boom!”

E-Marketing

Back in the day when I had my lemonade stand I put out big signs. My little sister stood near the front of the stand to get them to buy a cup. I would yell repeatedly lemonade for sale, lemonade for sale! Oh that brings back so many memories!! Well that was how we would market the most delicious lemonade, even if I say so myself. While standing in that hot Georgia heat!!!

Now imagine if we had the internet back then like we do now, we could make a video to post it, run an ad or SMS or email on all social media platforms like Youtube, TikTok, LinkedIn, send pictures to our friends and neighbors through platforms like WhatsApp! That’s E–Marketing!

E–Marketing helps people sell products snacks, shirts, and toys for example. You can share your thoughts and ideas on books you’ve read. You share about music you’ve listened to and videos you have watched. Back in the day this was unheard of! We also can use E–Marketing to teach things like cooking, how to buy real estate or how to do a math calculation. I tell you this is absolutely amazing. You can use it to help others like raising money for a good cause to help a family in need during a crisis like Go Fund Me. E–Marketing has limitless possibilities that we all need to explore, both young and old.

History of E-Marketing

Before the internet traditional marketing was the source used. You see some time ago, people used newspaper, television and radio to tell others about their businesses, about their products and services they were offering. We have come a long way right! Back in 1978 the first E–Marketing email ad was sent to around 400 people for a computer company. This was the beginning of something huge. Then by the 1990’s we started to see websites and online shopping platforms appear on the internet.

With the creation of Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, and Twitter and the likes, E–Marketing gave us new ways to share stuff and amazing ideas. Social media has been a game changer when it comes to advertising our products and services. Now we are using smart computers and phones to figure out what people like, whether it is a new car, new home, toys for the kids you name it. You start to search and the algorithms works like detectives picking up what you start to search. They start to recognize and storing the things you are interested in and you start to see your searched items start to appear, all over the internet, it remembers what you are searching. This target marketing, E–Marketing at it’s best.

This video gives an overview of the different types of E–Marketing, take a listen:

  • Email Marketing: Sending emails for business and or pleasure or just plain fun
  • Influencer Marketing: Online talk about a product by a popular person with thousands of followers
  • Search Engine Marketing(SEM): Ads that show when you search on Google
  • Social Media Marketing: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok posting
  • Video Marketing: Making or cooking videos or instructional videos of products or product reviews
  • Websites and Blogs: Your digital store or tips online

E–Marketing helps people in many ways that connects the World. It helps to support our communities by helping to raise money, help shops, and share tips. It helps us learn about new things and grow your ideas. Learn about business, communication, and tech, it creates Jobs so that people can become creators or business owners.

  • Connects in Real Time: you can get your questions answered in real time, you can show off new products without delay and you can make new friends right away
  • Creators and Influencers: I’m sure know people who make videos, games, or music can get fans and make money.
  • Helps Businesses Grow: small businesses can grow faster and bigger
  • Makes Shopping Easier: you can simply click a button make your purchase and it is shipped directly to your door
  • Save Money: you no longer have to pay for printing ads or paying to advertise on television. This is so much more easier on the pocketbook.
  • Small Business Owners: They use Instagram or YouTube to find customers. Posting videos of new items and ideas or post ads for upcoming events they are prompting in the neighborhood.

Retail giants like Amazon, Disney, McDonald’s and Nike uses these platforms with large teams of marketers to promote their products.

Let’s not forget about the Kids they can start a YouTube channel, sell crafts or share your unique talents like your drawings, singing, dancing, art creations or that “lemonade stand” as long as an adult helps you stay safe online.

Laws of Marketing

E-Marketing, Marketing

This poster image is inspired by the book “The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing” by Al Ries and Jack Trout it has been used in business schools and branding workshops. Remember “Nothing Sells Itself“

  • Law of Leadership it’s important to be first to start marketing, like Coca-Cola.
  • The Law of Category If you can’t be first, create your own category.
  • The Law of the Mind It’s better to be first in their minds (people buy what they remember first) rather than being the first in the store.
  • The Law of Perception Marketing is a battle of perceptions and owning one word in the customer’s mind is powerful. What do you think of when you hear the words fast food? My recall is McDonald’s!

We know this very well because we are actively Marketing. We Are Marketers and we do this with Bridging The Gap Online Community as well as to the Online World. We do this by Posting Ads in Various Locations throughout the Internet, to Social Media Marketing and Posts, and in High Priced “Paid Advertising” to be placed in front of Customers that fit our Products and Services demographics
